Enjoy the brief reprieve that will usher in December with way above normal temperatures starting this weekend through mid-week next week. We might have a little snow after the cold front passes Wednesday or Thursday but nothing too substantial. However, anything we see could be enhanced by Lake Effect Snow and higher elevations, as always, should be more vigilant. It also appears that there is there opportunity for a minor rain to snow storm the weekend of Dec. 8th. Things will become consistently colder as we approach mid-December, when the cold appears to stay around for more prolonged periods and a a more stormy pattern is anticipated for the second half of December.
By the way, month to date temperatures for November are 3.6 degrees below normal for Pittsburgh! That is a fairly significant departure from normal.
