Two quick systems will dump snow on us this week: one Thursday night into Friday and one Friday night into Saturday.
The Thursday night storm will dump between 3-6″” over the region before it fizzles out Friday morning. The Friday evening storm will bring additional snowfall and the possibility of ice and rain as well, however, right now I am leaning towards the prospect of all snow. If that precipitation stays all snow, it will be between 4-8″. right now, I think it will stay mostly snow.
So, between now and the Saturday warm-up, I think Pittsburgh will see between 5-8″ of snow. Areas to the south will significantly less snow, in the area of 3-6″.
