Irene No Threat to W PA, Unless You are Headed to the Beach

A beach vacation at Lake Erie is a safer bet than an East coast beach vacation through mid-September.

It looks as if Hurricane Irene, poised to be a major East coast hurricane will bear no threat to folks in W PA, unless you are headed to the beach. Those hgh waterseading to to the beach along the entire Eastern seabord will face rough waters and from South Carolina to New england, expect hurrican warnings and possible evacuations. The storm should make landfall right around the NC/SC border midweek, wrapping up in New England late this weekend.

The tropics should remain actuve for the next month and areas on the Eastcoast should be aware of the concern of flooding due to a very wet spring and summer. If you are planning a vacation, you might want to consider upcoming beach vacation,  you might want to consider Lake Erie. 🙂
